What is Screen Printing?
You may have never printed shirts before, or you’ve printing dozens, hundreds, THOUSANDS.
Regardless of your mileage (and quantity) Screen Printing is the industry standard for printing large scale orders of T Shirts.
Here’s a rundown of what that process looks like, and how to keep it in mind for your next order.
#1 The Design
We can make a design for you in house, or you can bring your own designs to the table. We will take that design and make it ready for a screen.
#2 Screen Burning
After crafting the design, we will transfer it to a screen through a screen burning process. Sounds crazy, but it’s really cool!
After it’s burned, we cure the screen, and it’s now ready for the printing process.
#3 The printer
Your design will now get used on a printer, which will transfer the design over one or several screen to complete it. Our printer is equipped with 8 heads, so we can do as many as eight colors for your order. Remember, more colors increases the time and the cost of completing an order.
#4 The drying process
This part is simple: we take the shirt and cure the ink in our fancy gigantic dryer. Perfect for curing shirts and making warm sweaters in the winter, our drier heat up to about 770 degrees to finish the print.
It sounds like a lot, and it kind of is, but screen printing is a pretty straightforward process. And we love doing it!
